Huawei has officially launched its own operating system HarmonyOS. The company has started rolling out this operating system for many of its Android devices. Huawei was banned by the US after the US-China trade dispute in 2019, after which the company announced to bring its own operating system. After this ban, American technology company Google stopped providing its service to Huawei. The company has started rolling out its HarmonyOS from 2nd June i.e. tomorrow. The Chinese smartphone and telecommunications equipment maker has designed HarmonyOS as an ‘Internet-of-Things’ platform. Will roll out for 200 million devices

The company claims that HarmonyOS will be rolling out 200 million smartphones by the end of the year. At the same time, the company will also roll it out to 100 million third-party devices. The look of HarmonyOS is very similar to that of iOS. The company will challenge Google with its operating system.

Please note that at this time HarmonyOS has been rolling out only for Huawei devices. The company has not announced to roll it out for any device under its sub-brand Honor. Honor’s devices will currently work on Android-based MagicOS only.
